  • MELISSA ESTRADA

    Investment Advisor

At the end of my time, I want to feel like I’ve contributed to this world.
I joined the Marine Corps in 2002 and spent 6 years developing as a leader. It was ingrained in me to always work with integrity, and to take care of those you are responsible for. This has translated into my current position. When I detached from active duty in 2008, I went into the finance industry as a staff accountant. In 2012, after obtaining a degree in Finance, I accepted an offer as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. When I took this position, my immediate thought was the guidance and education I would be able to provide to those who typically do not have access to financial literacy. As I build my practice, I enjoy clients of all types. My favorite is the family or individual I can guide in understanding how to build wealth through a series of calculated decisions.
I am addicted to education and continued growth. So I spend any free time continuing my education and intend to obtain a M.S. in Economics by 2020. I am raising a wonderful son, and enjoy traveling with him and spending time laughing as much as we can.
